Monday 5th July <top>

ICAD Bridge Climb Workshop - Monday Afternoon (16.00 - 21.00)

You will have to arrive a day early to join the Harbour Bridge Climb but it will be worth it !  This is such a popular attraction that we need to book in advance. If you are interested to join then email the Social Director ASAP. The cost is $155AUD for adults. Meet at ?

Arrival Get-together - Monday Evening (18.00-20.00)

Informal drinks in the Bar in the Lobby of  the Manly Pacific Hotel to coincide with the Early Registration session the evening before the conference opens.


Tuesday 6th July <top>

Ice-Breaker - Tuesday Evening (19.00-)

We will rendezvous at a cocktail bar TBA and go on from there to select from the restaurants along the seaside, or simply get some fish and chips and eat them on the beach, at your leisure.

Wednesday 7th July <top>

Surf, Beach Walk and Swim
Wednesday Morning (07.00-08.30)


Join us for a surfing lesson on Manly beach. All equipment is provided and the cost is ~$70 for a one hour surfing lesson. <link> Or come along for a walk along the beach to watch the fun and take an early morning swim. (Sharks and weather permitting). Once again we need to organise this activity in advance. If interested please contact the Social Director ASAP so we can organise the group size. Meeting at ?

The Tenth ICAD Celebratory Banquet
Wednesday Evening (19.00-23.00)


The Conference Dinner will be held in the Manly Pacific Hotel Banquet room overlooking Manly Beach. The banquet dinner will be a celebration of the past 10 years of ICAD conferences and will be hosted by Master of Ceremonies Matti Grohn, President of the ICAD Board, and the only person to attend all every one of them!


Thursday 8th July <top>

Cafe Society on the Harbour (18:00-19:30)

The ICAD Open Day Festival will be held at the Opera House right on Circular Quay which is the very heart of Sydney. Between the end of the Festival and the Concert  there is a 2 hour gap where you have time to explore the area or organise to meet colleagues at one of the multitude of cafes and restaurants to watch the sun-set at the end of another hard day of ICAD. Then refreshed and relaxed head on to the World Premiere Concert of Sonifications at the Sydney Opera House Studio.


Friday 9th July <top>

Farewell Get-together - Friday Evening (19.00-)

Many of you who have come long distances will be taking the opportunity to see more of beautiful Sydney over the weekend after the conference. We will organise a meeting place on the Friday evening after the conference for those who would like to wind down, say farewell, or plan their next research collaboration together. A location for drinks and dinner will announced during the Conference.

Manly is a Tourism centre and there are many holiday and tourism providers in the vicinity <link>. There is a Tourism counter with information and bookings in the lobby of the Manly Pacific Hotel. Some ideas from the Social Director ....
